Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peyton McFrancise started the match with the kick off. Ron Gollogley hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Killinlahan's goalkeeper Briain Tierney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22ndth minute of the game Rorry McGlenn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killinlahan's Briain Tierney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Briain Tierney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peyton McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Ron Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beacan Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Rorry McGlenn put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Briain Tierney. If Rorry McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caroll Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Beacan Byrne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cashel Rutherford in the 37th minute. When Rorry McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Knockfola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rorry McGlenn couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Killinlahan's Cashel Rutherford got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cashel Rutherford to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Killinlahan's goal looked a bit too open when Peyton McFrancise came free, but Briain Tierney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Peyton McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockfola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peyton McFrancise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Briain Tierney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beacan Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ron Gollogley in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caroll Branson during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Knockfola FC's Caroll Branson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Peyton McFrancise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Briain Tierney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Killinlahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cashel Rutherford to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Cashel Rutherford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Beacan Byrne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Killinlahan's Cashel Rutherford got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Knockfola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caroll Branson to maneuver through the defense. Beacan Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cashel Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Killinlahan's Briain Tierney got control of the ball when Rorry McGlenn tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Peyton McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Tipraite MaCollin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Briain Tierney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knockfola FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
