Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Shey McMichel got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Bunnagippaun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Shey McMichel came free, but Breasal Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland McBrandon hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes Loughshinny AFC got a freekick which was hit by Louie Costello. Shey McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Breasal Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breadan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breasal Lester having to interfere. In the 21st minute Shey McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breasal Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Louie Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Reidy McGlynn came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bunnagippaun FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reidy McGlynn couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Breadan Lavine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Breasal Lester was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Shey McMichel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breasal Lester was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Fionn Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leon Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48th play minutes Breadan Lavine shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Breasal Lester and just under the crossbar into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paud Frankson to make the kick off. When Shey McMichel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Loughshinny AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shey McMichel couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Bunnagippaun FC defense, Shey McMichel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breasal Lester. The Bunnagippaun FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breasal Lester should have stopped the shot. The Loughshinny AFC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Loughshinny AFC's Shey McMichel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Breasal Lester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breadan Lavine's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breadan Lavine in the 74th minute of play forced Bunnagippaun FC's goalkeeper Breasal Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blanche McJon charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blanche McJon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Bunnagippaun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanche McJon to maneuver through the defense. Bernard McDonald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Breasal Lester. Bunnagippaun FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reidy McGlynn during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bunnagippaun FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Reidy McGlynn hit a great ball. Bernard McDonald shot a long shot in the 81st minute and a light blocked Breasal Lester hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 5-0. Shey McMichel struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Breasal Lester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughshinny AFC. Loughshinny AFC's Shey McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fionn Quinnless hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Shey McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breasal Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breasal Lester came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Loughshinny AFC's Shey McMichel. But to his dismay, Shey McMichel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Bunnagippaun FC's zone, Shey McMichel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breasal Lester came out of the goal and Shey McMichel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bunnagippaun FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loughshinny AFC.
