Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pawd Doyle started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes, Ballygarett FC's Rowe Hughes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bryan Ramsey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballygarett FC reached it. 7 minutes into the match, Brenden Caffrey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryan Ramsey. Portraine Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brenden Caffrey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 16 played minutes Ballygarett FC got a freekick which was hit by Brenden Caffrey. Bryan Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenden Caffrey in the 17th minute of the match. Raonall Hughes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Britt Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ballygarett FC's Gilbeirt Ferguson in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portraine Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Pawd Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearalt John having to interfere. The supporters of Portraine Utd booed when Ballygarett FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torin Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pawd Doyle struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Gearalt John didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portraine Utd. After a rather tough play, Ballygarett FC's Brenden Caffrey got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Pawd Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portraine Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pawd Doyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brenden Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bryan Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Raonall Hughes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbeirt Ferguson in the 46th minute of play forced Portraine Utd's goalkeeper Bryan Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbeirt Ferguson was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gilbeirt Ferguson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryan Ramsey was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Bryan Ramsey came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ballygarett FC's Brenden Caffrey. But to his dismay, Brenden Caffrey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gilbeirt Ferguson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bryan Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbeirt Ferguson succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. 62 minutes into the match, Portraine Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Brenden Caffrey came free, but Bryan Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Pawd Doyle took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Gearalt John to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Pawd Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portraine Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Pawd Doyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gearalt John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brenden Caffrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Ramsey having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Portraine Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raonall Hughes to maneuver through the defense. If Gilbeirt Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ballygarett FC's Gilbeirt Ferguson got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Brenden Caffrey sped through Portraine Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bryan Ramsey. Torin Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Portraine Utd's Kevin Rutherford got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Britt Ramsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Ramsey having to interfere. After some careless play in the Portraine Utd defense, Gilbeirt Ferguson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bryan Ramsey. The Portraine Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryan Ramsey should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Ballygarett FC were the better team. Ballygarett FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
