Breadan Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loughshinny AFC's Leon Colwell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Loughshinny AFC from getting a goal against them. A hard shot by Ricard McPeter from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Leon Colwell's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 25th minute Shey McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breadan Lavine's late challenge caught a Arderra Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breadan Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Loughshinny AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Breadan Lavine hit a great ball. Leon Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassidy Dalton in the 31st minute of the match. Boddibevve Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Shey McMichel came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Loughshinny AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shey McMichel couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Shey McMichel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loughshinny AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pearse McAaron during the 41st minute. Loughshinny AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breadan Lavine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pearse McAaron came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Loughshinny AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearse McAaron couldn't finish the play. If Shey McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Shey McMichel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ryan Quinnless. The goal made the score 0-3. Leon Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassidy Dalton , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Louie Costello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loughshinny AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arderra Utd the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shey McMichel in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ryan Quinnless saved Arderra Utd from getting behind. Justin McJohnny's late challenge caught a Loughshinny AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin McJohnny helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Arderra Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justin McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. The Loughshinny AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Loughshinny AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
