Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Shey McMichel got the match started through his kick off. Breadan Lavine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rory McDonald made a huge save. Leon Colwell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keegan McLiam went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Loughshinny AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Boddibevve Hutton hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Loughshinny AFC's Shey McMichel got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rory McDonald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shey McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Boyle's Hickey Tierney made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Colwell was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hickey Tierney came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Boyle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hickey Tierney couldn't finish the play. Shey McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Boyle getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bhrighde Lavine hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Breadan Lavine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loughshinny AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 36 minutes into the match, Boyle's Hickey Tierney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Colwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match Bernard McDonald shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rory McDonald showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Loughshinny AFC's Shey McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Boyle got a freekick which was hit by Dane Ryan. Loughshinny AFC's Leon Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keegan McLiam in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hickey Tierney to make the kick off. Hickey Tierney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Leon Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boddibevve Hutton hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Scot Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Hickey Tierney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Aban Hunt suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 69th minute, Boddibevve Hutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hickey Tierney might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Colwell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hickey Tierney ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, Loughshinny AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hickey Tierney came free, but Leon Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Loughshinny AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boddibevve Hutton to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the game, Beollan Morrison landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Louie Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louie Costello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Louie Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute Hickey Tierney ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Leon Colwell. 1-3. In the 82nd match minute, Loughshinny AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donncha Kirby to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Boyle's Gearard Sheridan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Colwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shey McMichel in the 87th minute of play forced Boyle's goalkeeper Rory McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Loughshinny AFC's zone, Keegan McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Colwell came out of the goal and Keegan McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boyle played a much better game than Loughshinny AFC and deserved their victory. The Loughshinny AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
