Bearnard Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berk McAaron having to interfere. In the 14th minute Rorke Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoffrey McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Knockgaffon's Bearnard Frankson in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Inishcarra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Inishcarra's Rorke Gough got a free kick in the 25th minute. Beckett McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Inishcarra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradain Willson to maneuver through the defense. Ennis McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berk McAaron having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Ennis McPhil made a precise shot to the right of Berk McAaron. Inishcarra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Rorke Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Knockgaffon defense, Rorke Gough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geoffrey McBrandon. The Knockgaffon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geoffrey McBrandon should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Inishcarra getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Beckett McLian hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Inishcarra's zone, Ennis McPhil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berk McAaron came out of the goal and Ennis McPhil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beckett McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffrey McBrandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rorke Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Rorke Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoffrey McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berk McAaron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bearnard Frankson in the 67th minute of play. Beckett McLian was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Inishcarra's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Knockgaffon's Geoffrey McBrandon got control of the ball when Beckett McLian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geoffrey McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rorke Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Knockgaffon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Inishcarra's performance. The match ended with a win for Inishcarra.
