Killachonna's Shannon Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aban Ramsey in the 7th minute of play. The Killachonna fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Killachonna's Tiomoid Prunty looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After a rather tough play, Killachonna's Thomas Bayes got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aban Ramsey in the 38th minute of play forced Killachonna's goalkeeper Shannon Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cloghan booed when Killachonna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barr Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Gilian McFrancise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiomoid Prunty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blathma Bayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Cloghan's Blathma Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiomoid Prunty in the 95th minute of play. Torrian McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathma Bayes having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Killachonna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cloghan.
