Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jarlath Tracy took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jarlath Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bragain Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Rorry Colwell made a huge save. If Bragain Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Seoirse Cooney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Ballygarett AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Barr McPhil came free, but Berrin Molloy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bivadas McCollion came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ardamore FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bivadas McCollion couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes Ballygarett AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aron Prunty. When Ardamore FC's Barr McPhil in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballygarett AFC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Ardamore FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bivadas McCollion hit a great ball. Ballygarett AFC's Aron Prunty got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Ballygarett AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aron Prunty. Berrin Molloy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barr McPhil in the 30th minute of play. Berrin Molloy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bivadas McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarlath Tracys short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Rorry Colwell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jarlath Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballygarett AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarlath Tracy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rorry Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aron Prunty's late challenge caught a Ardamore FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Prunty helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes, Ardamore FC's Donavon Hutton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Berrin Molloy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ardamore FC reached it. Bragain Grant succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 43rd playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bivadas McCollion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath Tracy in the 52nd minute of play forced Ardamore FC's goalkeeper Rorry Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Bragain Grant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rorry Colwell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Berrin Molloy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bivadas McCollion in the 63rd minute of the match. When Ballygarett AFC's Bragain Grant in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ardamore FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jarlath Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Bivadas McCollion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berrin Molloy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Ardamore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bragain Grant came free, but Rorry Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bivadas McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Berrin Molloy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rorry Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarlath Tracy in the 95th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ballygarett AFC had won after a very even match.
