When Drummin's Torrey Rutherford, in the 2nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Drummin. In a very dangerous position, a player in Galbertstown Utd fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! If Torrey Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boynton Coyle during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Drummin getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Boynton Coyle hit a great ball. Torrey Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Donald Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galbertstown Utd's Donald Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Galbertstown Utd from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cian Gough during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Cian Gough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henry O'Neill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torrey Rutherford couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Bergin Keegan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galbertstown Utd's Donald Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cian Gough in the 35th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Bergin Keegan put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Donald Hughes. Bergin Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Drummin's zone, Baird Costello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donan Beckett came out of the goal and Baird Costello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

52 minutes into the match, Galbertstown Utd's Henry O'Neill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donan Beckett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donald Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrey Rutherford in the 56th minute of the match. Nolyn Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Bergin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Hughes having to interfere. When Bergin Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Drummin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bergin Keegan couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Torrey Rutherford put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Donald Hughes. Aaden McDecland's late challenge caught a Galbertstown Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaden McDecland helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Drummin's Aaden McDecland got a free kick in the 78th minute. Baird Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donan Beckett made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Henry O'Neill sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Brayden Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Drummin's goal looked a bit too open when Baird Costello came free, but Donan Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bergin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Hughes having to interfere. Torrey Rutherford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donald Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Nolyn Caffrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galbertstown Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
