Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1799, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kerem Ömer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Donald Hughes came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kilcolgan's Kerem Ömer. But to his dismay, Kerem Ömer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 8th minute, Kerem Ömer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donald Hughes. The goal made the score 2-0. Caolán Caffrey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Kilcolgan's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Galbertstown Utd's zone, Kerem Ömer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Hughes came out of the goal and Kerem Ömer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the game, Kilcolgan's Caolán Caffrey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donald Hughes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Breccan McIan fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilcolgan's protests and gave Breccan McIan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kilcolgan's Breccan McIan got a free kick in the 17th minute. Breccan McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Donald Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Caolán Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Glen Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry O'Neill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Henry O'Neill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Galbertstown Utd's zone, Kerem Ömer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Hughes came out of the goal and Kerem Ömer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galbertstown Utd's Donald Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerem Ömer in the 42nd minute of play. Breccan McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Kerem Ömer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilcolgan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerem Ömer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baird Costello made a kick off. Saoirse Mulvihill hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Caolán Caffrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kerem Ömer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bresal McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caolán Caffrey might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donald Hughes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caolán Caffrey ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, Galbertstown Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kerem Ömer came free, but Donald Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerem Ömer in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Kerem Ömer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caolán Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Donald Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nolyn Caffrey hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Kerem Ömer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilcolgan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerem Ömer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kilcolgan had played much better football throughout.
