In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lehenagh FC's goalkeeper Oliver McJon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Tadhg Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cahermacun AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadhg Kelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver McJon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Ferdia Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tipraite Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Breenan Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cahermacun AFC and the Lehenagh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Cahermacun AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdia Dalton came free, but Tipraite Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breannain McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tipraite Mulvihill having to interfere. Tipraite Mulvihill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breannain McBrand in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Lehenagh FC's Breannain McBrand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tipraite Mulvihill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdia Dalton to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Tipraite Mulvihill managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Lehenagh FC's Breannain McBrand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Lehenagh FC's Ferdia Dalton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tipraite Mulvihill. That made the score 2-5 after 91 minutes of play. Breannain McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tipraite Mulvihill having to interfere.
