With an all-out effort, Ballyshane's Sheridan Beckett threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kevis McMichel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Kevis McMichel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sheridan Beckett was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Foxhill's zone, Riley Coyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sheridan Beckett came out of the goal and Riley Coyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Foxhill getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Artuir Cassin hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevis McMichel in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sheridan Beckett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 played minutes Foxhill got a freekick which was hit by Blanaid Todd. After 29 minutes, Riley Coyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyshane and the Foxhill players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Ballyshane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riley Coyle to maneuver through the defense. If Danann Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th match minute, Ballyshane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Beckett to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes, Balor Caffey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyshane and the Foxhill players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Foxhill booed when Ballyshane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balor Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Foxhill got a freekick which was hit by Antaine John. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevis McMichel was the one to do the kick off. When Foxhill's Danann Savic in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballyshane's goalie prevented a goal. Ballyshane's Beacan McLaughlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blathmac Keegan in the 76th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Foxhill players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
