Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bradner Frankson kicked off to start the match. Ballyshane's Beacan McLaughlin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ballyshane from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ballyshane booed when Mardyke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradner Frankson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Beacan McLaughlin firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ros Caffey in the 13th minute of play forced Mardyke's goalkeeper Bebhinn Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevis McMichel's late challenge caught a Mardyke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevis McMichel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Kevis McMichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballyshane's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Peyton Dalton scored to the left of an out of position Beacan McLaughlin, making the score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Ballyshane's Riley Coyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebhinn Holt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bergin McFrank lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 26 minutes, Balor Caffey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyshane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balor Caffey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Tevin Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyshane's supporters rose to their feet, but Tevin Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebhinn Holt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peyton Dalton struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Beacan McLaughlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mardyke. Peyton Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beacan McLaughlin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braddon Doherty got free with Beacan McLaughlin in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Peyton Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beacan McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kevis McMichel to strike the kick off in the second half. If Braddon Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beacan McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyton Dalton in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Mardyke's Braddon Doherty made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beacan McLaughlin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th match minute, Ballyshane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barhan Myler to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Peyton Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mardyke's supporters rose to their feet, but Peyton Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beacan McLaughlin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mardyke's Adamnan John got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beacan McLaughlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyton Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Tevin Rogers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyshane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mardyke the free kick. Tevin Rogers hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ron Beckett kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ballyshane's Beacan McLaughlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyton Dalton in the 82nd minute of play. Riley Coyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebhinn Holt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Tevin Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Bebhinn Holt made a huge save. When Peyton Dalton came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Mardyke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peyton Dalton couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Mardyke players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
