Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Breenan Kelly started the match with the kick off. Conn Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beatty Ghee, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Breenan Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bardain Rogers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conn Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beatty Ghee, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Raphoe's Beatty Ghee in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crossconnell AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Raphoe booed when Crossconnell AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conn Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beatty Ghee in the 34th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Raphoe got a freekick which was hit by Boland Lavine. If Beacan Glen Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conn Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beatty Ghee in the 41st minute of the match. Conn Hughes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dennis MaCollin. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beatty Ghee made a kick off. After 55 minutes, Louie Hutton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crossconnell AFC and the Raphoe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute of the match Rordan Perth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conn Hughes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beacan Glen Crowe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conn Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Beatty Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal Barrett in the 71st minute of play forced Crossconnell AFC's goalkeeper Conn Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bannon Ryan charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bannon Ryan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bannon Ryan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Beacan Glen Crowe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conn Hughes having to make a save. 76 minutes into the game, Beacan Glen Crowe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Conn Hughes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Conn Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beatty Ghee, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Raphoe's Beatty Ghee in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Beacan Glen Crowe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 89 minutes into the match, Crossconnell AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beacan Glen Crowe came free, but Conn Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Beatty Ghee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conn Hughes was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The supporters of Crossconnell AFC booed when Raphoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boland Lavine didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antaine Dalton in the 97th minute of play forced Crossconnell AFC's goalkeeper Conn Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Raphoe had won after a very even match.
