Suibhne Matthews took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebhinn Holt. Bebhinn Holt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braddon Doherty in the 17th minute of play forced Ballynagall's goalkeeper Suibhne Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Ballynagall got a freekick which was hit by Bec Byrne. After 21 played minutes Mardyke got a freekick which was hit by Braddon Doherty. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradner Frankson made a kick off. The supporters of Mardyke booed when Ballynagall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearalt Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Suibhne Lavine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bradner Frankson went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Ballynagall's goal looked a bit too open when Braddon Doherty came free, but Suibhne Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ballynagall getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gearalt Palmer hit a great ball. With a little luck, Mardyke's Bebhinn Holt got control of the ball when Torrey McAaron tried to sneak it across the goal line.
