Rordan Perth's late challenge caught a Ballyshane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rordan Perth helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Raphoe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Ballyshane. Balor Caffey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bardain Rogers. 0-1. Kevis McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bardain Rogers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ballyshane defense, Beatty Ghee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beacan McLaughlin. The Ballyshane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beacan McLaughlin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riley Coyle in the 34th minute of play forced Raphoe's goalkeeper Bardain Rogers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Raphoe's goal looked a bit too open when Riley Coyle came free, but Bardain Rogers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Raphoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boland Lavine to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Ballyshane's Balor Caffey tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Riley Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bardain Rogers having to interfere. Earnán Murphy charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Earnán Murphy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Earnán Murphy kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Raphoe booed when Ballyshane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevis McMichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of Ballyshane booed when Raphoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 59th minute, Riley Coyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raphoe's Bardain Rogers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Raphoe from getting a goal against them. The Raphoe players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
