Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Donelle Lester lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Torran Holt. The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Breadan Beckett put in a rough tackle. Dolan Hughes went to the wrong direction when Killian McFrancise was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Brenan O'Neill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galmoy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drin AFC the free kick. A collision led to Galmoy getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Brenan O'Neill hit a great ball. Torran Holt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donelle Lester in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Galmoy's Torran Holt got control of the ball when Donelle Lester tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lawrence McJon kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rorke Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theobald Ferguson in the 27th minute of play forced Drin AFC's goalkeeper Dolan Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pat Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Torran Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Torran Holt managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Drin AFC's Donelle Lester fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Todd MaCollin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Torran Holt made a huge save. Pat Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dolan Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paud McJon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donelle Lester made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Drin AFC got a corner. Galmoy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen McTommy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paud McJon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dolan Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dolan Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theobald Ferguson in the 61st minute. A collision led to Galmoy getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Raymun Cassin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galmoy's zone, Donelle Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torran Holt came out of the goal and Donelle Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rorke Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute Pat Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torran Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Keegan McWilliam came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Drin AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keegan McWilliam couldn't finish the play. Dolan Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paud McJon in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Paud McJon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dolan Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paud McJon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pat Coyle's late challenge caught a Galmoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pat Coyle helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Drin AFC's Pat Coyle got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paud McJon in the 86th minute of play forced Drin AFC's goalkeeper Dolan Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lawrence McJon charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lawrence McJon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Drin AFC booed when Galmoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence McJon didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donelle Lester in the 93rd minute of play forced Galmoy's goalkeeper Torran Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theobald Ferguson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dolan Hughes having to make a save. Galmoy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
