Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patton McSteve started the match with the kick off. When Brazil Mullan fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shanavoola's protests and gave Brazil Mullan a yellow card for diving instead. 9 minutes into the match, Beiti McLaughlin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin. Pierce MaCollin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Shanavoola's Brazil Mullan got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute Breffni Tierney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brazil Mullan in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brazil Mullan in the 20th minute of play forced Powerstown's goalkeeper Pierce MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierce MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berke McSteven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Thom McPeter came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Berke McSteven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shanavoola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Brazil Mullan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. In the 30th minute, Brazil Mullan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierce MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beiti McLaughlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berke McSteven in the 33rd minute of play. Beiti Willson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sameer Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Powerstown getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Timmons McDecland hit a great ball. Patton McSteve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sameer Harkin having to interfere. Beiti McLaughlin's late challenge caught a Powerstown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beiti McLaughlin helped the player get up and apologised. Beiti McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beiti McLaughlin to strike the kick off in the second half. Pierce MaCollin was a little too slow when Berke McSteven got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-3. A collision led to Shanavoola getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Thom McPeter hit a great ball. Berke McSteven hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Powerstown from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goalkeeper Pierce MaCollin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thom McPeter. With a little luck, Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin got control of the ball when Beiti McLaughlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patton McSteve in the 66th minute of play forced Shanavoola's goalkeeper Sameer Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierce MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beiti McLaughlin in the 70th minute of play. Pierce MaCollin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thom McPeter in the 71st minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Patton McSteve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shanavoola's Sameer Harkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pierce MaCollin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beiti McLaughlin went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After 82 played minutes Shanavoola got a freekick which was hit by Thom McPeter. Thom McPeter's late challenge caught a Powerstown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thom McPeter helped the player get up and apologised. Thom McPeter hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Patton McSteve left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Powerstown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 89th match minute, Powerstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmons McDecland to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Shanavoola could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Powerstown throughout the match.
