Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bradagain Todd took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tobin Dimson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bel Jameson in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6thth minute of the game Bel Jameson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clonoulty FC's Tobin Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gearoid Quinnless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Bryan McGlynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poulanargid FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clonoulty FC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Poulanargid FC got a freekick which was hit by Bryan McGlynn. With an all-out effort, Clonoulty FC's Pearce Murphy threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bradagain Todd, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Bradagain Todd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bel Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Gehan Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Clonoulty FC got a freekick which was hit by Ros McBrandon. Tate Molloy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tobin Dimson. Clonoulty FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute Bradagain Todd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pearce Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Harrington Mullan came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Clonoulty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harrington Mullan couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes of play, Poulanargid FC's Bel Jameson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobin Dimson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Harrington Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bel Jameson struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tobin Dimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poulanargid FC. When Harrington Mullan came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Clonoulty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harrington Mullan couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gearoid Quinnless made a kick off. With a little luck, Clonoulty FC's Tobin Dimson got control of the ball when Bel Jameson tried to sneak it across the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 54th minute, but Tobin Dimson got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Clonoulty FC hanging dry this time. After a rather tough play, Clonoulty FC's Ros McBrandon got a free kick in the 58th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Harrington Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clonoulty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harrington Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tobin Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gearoid Quinnless, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breslin Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tobin Dimson made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Bel Jameson sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Tobin Dimson managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Poulanargid FC's Bel Jameson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gearoid Quinnless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poulanargid FC's Bel Jameson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tevis Matthews charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tevis Matthews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Bradagain Todd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pearce Murphy was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The Poulanargid FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Poulanargid FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
