The supporters of Poulanargid FC booed when Greethill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heremon Dempsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bel Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boddibevve Dunne hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Tevis McDonald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bel Jameson in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gill Horgan in the 18th minute of play forced Greethill's goalkeeper Tevis McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gill Horgan in the 33rd minute of play forced Greethill's goalkeeper Tevis McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tevis McDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan McGlynn in the 34th minute of play. Bel Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heremon Dempsey to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Poulanargid FC's Tevis McDonald threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gearoid Quinnless, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the match, Greethill's goal looked a bit too open when Gearoid Quinnless came free, but Tevis McDonald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dugan Robinson lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Greethill! The crowd rose to their feet as Poulanargid FC's Gearoid Quinnless slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tevis McDonald. That made the score 0-5 after 70 minutes of play. In the 76th minute of the match, Gearoid Quinnless tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tevis McDonald saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 78th minute Gill Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevis McDonald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tevis McDonald made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Bryan McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Greethill's Tevis McDonald got control of the ball when Bel Jameson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tevis McDonald made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan McGlynn in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Greethill defense, Bel Jameson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tevis McDonald. The Greethill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tevis McDonald should have stopped the shot. Tevis McDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gearoid Quinnless in the 89th minute of play. The Poulanargid FC fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Poulanargid FC's Gearoid Quinnless looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tevis McDonald made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Bel Jameson sent off a good shot on target. 99 minutes into the match, Bel Jameson notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Greethill's Tevis McDonald. Tevis McDonald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Poulanargid FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Greethill.
