Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bradagain Todd in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caimin McTommy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clonoulty FC's Tobin Dimson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bevin Keegan in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Clonoulty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ros McBrandon to maneuver through the defense. Bradagain Todd scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caimin McTommy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Bevin Keegan made the kick off in the second half. Bradagain Todd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 58th minute, but Caimin McTommy got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Donohill AFC hanging dry this time. Harrington Mullan struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Caimin McTommy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clonoulty FC. After 65 played minutes Donohill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Banban Myler. 68 minutes into the match, Donohill AFC's goalkeeper Caimin McTommy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harrington Mullan. Tathan McDonald's late challenge caught a Clonoulty FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tathan McDonald helped the player get up and apologised. Tathan McDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Harrington Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clonoulty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harrington Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradagain Todd in the 81st minute of play forced Donohill AFC's goalkeeper Caimin McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harrington Mullan scored 1-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caimin McTommy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 played minutes Bradagain Todd rounded Donohill AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. The Donohill AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clonoulty FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
