Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bevin Keegan kicked off to start the match. Desmond McLian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caimin McTommy having to interfere. Alan Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Alan Frankson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caimin McTommy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Caimin McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Frankson in the 17th minute of the match. Desmond McLian struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Caimin McTommy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strokestown. Donohill AFC's Caimin McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond McLian in the 39th minute of play. Caimin McTommy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond McLian in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Donohill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tathan McDonald to maneuver through the defense. Strokestown's Alan Frankson got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Donohill AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Strokestown were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desmond McLian to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Braddon Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, Donohill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coran Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bevin Keegan in the 58th minute of play forced Strokestown's goalkeeper Branagain Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Alan Frankson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caimin McTommy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Desmond McLian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caimin McTommy having to make a save. Donohill AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Desmond McLian 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Jonathan Ramsey struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Branagain Bayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donohill AFC. Donohill AFC's Tathan McDonald pulled a muscle in his back after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Harley Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harley Costello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harley Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Alan Frankson took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Caimin McTommy to make any attempt to save it. Alan Frankson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caimin McTommy having to make a save. The supporters of Strokestown booed when Donohill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braddon Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball.
