Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brannon Hutton made the kick off which started today's match. Pierce MaCollin came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Poulanargid FC's Gearoid Quinnless. But to his dismay, Gearoid Quinnless quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Brannon Hutton came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Powerstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brannon Hutton couldn't finish the play. Poulanargid FC's Gearoid Quinnless got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierce MaCollin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bel Jameson went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Gearoid Quinnless came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Bel Jameson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poulanargid FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Powerstown the free kick. In the 21st minute, Bel Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Gearoid Quinnless came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierce MaCollin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearoid Quinnless, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Gill Horgan came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abban Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pierce MaCollin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brannon Hutton in the 31st minute of play forced Poulanargid FC's goalkeeper Pearce Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Brannon Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Bel Jameson notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Powerstown's Pierce MaCollin. Pierce MaCollin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pierce MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gill Horgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Powerstown's goal looked a bit too open when Gill Horgan came free, but Pierce MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gill Horgan in the 42nd minute of play forced Powerstown's goalkeeper Pierce MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Powerstown's Brannon Hutton got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Poulanargid FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gearoid Quinnless to strike the kick off in the second half. Pierce MaCollin was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Gill Horgan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gill Horgan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 57th minute of the match, Gill Horgan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierce MaCollin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pierce MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gearoid Quinnless in the 57th minute of play. Mack Scully shot a long shot in the 60th minute and a light blocked Pearce Murphy hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-4. Gearoid Quinnless received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pierce MaCollin came out and tried to block the shot, but Gearoid Quinnless slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Gearoid Quinnless shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Poulanargid FC's Pierce MaCollin threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gearoid Quinnless, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Patton McSteve fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Powerstown's protests and gave Patton McSteve a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute of the match, Bel Jameson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pierce MaCollin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pierce MaCollin made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bryan McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Gill Horgan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierce MaCollin. Powerstown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gill Horgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Gearoid Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pierce MaCollin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierce MaCollin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bel Jameson in the 87th minute. Pierce MaCollin was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Bryan McGlynn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bryan McGlynn really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Bryan McGlynn took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierce MaCollin. Pierce MaCollin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. When the match was over Poulanargid FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Powerstown throughout the match.
