The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gill Horgan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Piers Cronin in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pearce Murphy saved Poulanargid FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Poulanargid FC's zone, Bartel Ryan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pearce Murphy came out of the goal and Bartel Ryan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Bofickil's Piers Cronin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pearce Murphy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bofickil's Brakawn McCready got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Bel Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pearce Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Poulanargid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gill Horgan to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th match minute, Poulanargid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Bryan McGlynn hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Piers Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pearce Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bofickil's Garrett Horgan got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Bel Jameson came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Poulanargid FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bel Jameson couldn't finish the play. Bairre McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearoid Quinnless, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Bofickil's Piers Cronin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Bel Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poulanargid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bel Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryan McGlynn in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bairre McPaul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bairre McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearoid Quinnless, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The Bofickil fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Bofickil's Piers Cronin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Bofickil getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Reamann Brennan hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Tate Molloy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bairre McPaul skillfully saved the ball. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Poulanargid FC's goalkeeper Pearce Murphy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Reamann Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bofickil's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
