In the 10th minute Rownun Ghee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barley Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Barrie Doyle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarlath Sheridan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 24th minute, Brett Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Bradaigh McAlphie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barley Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Brennanshill FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Brasil McSteve hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Bradaigh McAlphie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenachallow AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradaigh McAlphie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barley Ryan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes Meenachallow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rourke Crowe. Donn Benson's late challenge caught a Brennanshill FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donn Benson helped the player get up and apologised. Donn Benson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Brennon Scully made a precise shot to the right of Barley Ryan. Brennanshill FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rownun Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Barley Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rownun Ghee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, one of Brennanshill FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brennanshill FC. Rourke Crowe walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 65th match minute, Brennanshill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairne Harkin to maneuver through the defense. Rownun Ghee took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barley Ryan. Barley Ryan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 73rd minute, Bebhinn McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Timmons Harkin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barley Ryan. Brennanshill FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmons Harkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Meenachallow AFC's Timmons Harkin has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Bradaigh McAlphie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Meenachallow AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
