Jarlath Sheridan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoffrey McBrand in the 3rd minute of the match. Rownun Ghee hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, Brennon Scully was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meenachallow AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Illanbaun the free kick. In the 9th minute, Brennon Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Meenachallow AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fionn McLiam hit a great ball. Rownun Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Meenachallow AFC booed when Illanbaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandan McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Illanbaun's Barra Willson got control of the ball when Rownun Ghee tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Illanbaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beara Bayes to maneuver through the defense. Barra Willson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brennon Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Rownun Ghee took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Barra Willson to make any attempt to save it. Rownun Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Illanbaun's Barra Willson got control of the ball when Rownun Ghee tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Geoffrey McBrand put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jarlath Sheridan.

Rownun Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barra Willson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rownun Ghee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rownun Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barra Willson having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Meenachallow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Brennon Scully. Beara Bayes's late challenge caught a Meenachallow AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beara Bayes helped the player get up and apologised. Beara Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Jarlath Sheridan made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Geoffrey McBrand sent off a good shot on target. After 74 played minutes Meenachallow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rownun Ghee. Beara Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Illanbaun getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Fiachra McOliver hit a great ball. Barra Willson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rourke Crowe in the 88th minute of the match. Meenachallow AFC's Brennon Scully got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Brennon Scully off the ground. A collision led to Meenachallow AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Brennon Scully hit a great ball. The Meenachallow AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Illanbaun's performance. The match ended with a win for Illanbaun.
