Terence O'Down showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry McVictor in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Balladian FC's goalkeeper Toren Kirby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lewy Palmer. Balladian FC's Toren Kirby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Balladian FC from getting a goal against them. Toren Kirby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ailín Doyle in the 12th minute of the match. Lewy Palmer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toren Kirby firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Balladian FC's zone, Bearach Callaghan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toren Kirby came out of the goal and Bearach Callaghan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Glengarriff's Beamard McSteven dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 21st minute, Darby McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barcvni Caffey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Terence O'Down having to make a save. Ailín Doyle charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ailín Doyle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Ailín Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toren Kirby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beamard McSteven in the 27th minute of play. Beamard McSteven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Toren Kirby made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Balladian FC got a freekick which was hit by Binnech Ghee. Toren Kirby came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Glengarriff's Lewy Palmer. But to his dismay, Lewy Palmer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Barcvni Caffey came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Balladian FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barcvni Caffey couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Balladian FC booed when Glengarriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irving Dimson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Keely Cooney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Begley Caffrey made the kick off in the second half. Harry McVictor struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Terence O'Down didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balladian FC. 52 minutes into the game, Begley Caffrey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Terence O'Down. Begley Caffrey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Darby McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Lewy Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toren Kirby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kevis McLian fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balladian FC's protests and gave Kevis McLian a yellow card for diving instead. Toren Kirby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewy Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryleigh Martyn took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toren Kirby. Toren Kirby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Beamard McSteven came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Glengarriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beamard McSteven couldn't finish the play. Darby McPaul hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Toren Kirby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewy Palmer in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Balladian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lewy Palmer came free, but Toren Kirby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glengarriff's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
