The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Donavin McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barley Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Gilbert Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brennanshill FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Hamilton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donavin McSteve's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barley Ryan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Hamilton 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Booak Caffrey was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Barley Ryan came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Moyvoughly's Brandon Morrison. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute Brennanshill FC were awarded a corner. Breanne McPhilip went to the cornerflag to take it. Brennanshill FC's Breanne McPhilip was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Booak Caffrey in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Barley Ryan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donavin McSteve went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Booak Caffrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brasil McSteve in the 72nd minute of the match. Terrence Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Hamilton 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Booak Caffrey was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Moyvoughly's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 90th minute, Barrie Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barley Ryan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Brennanshill FC's Barley Ryan got control of the ball when Donavin McSteve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moyvoughly played a much better game than Brennanshill FC and deserved their victory. The Brennanshill FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
