Seán Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Tevis McCready made a huge save. Sameer Branson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tady Hamilton in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Seán Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Blackpool's goalkeeper Tevis McCready had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breannain Lavine. After the first half Blackpool were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dillon Dillon made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Cacey McLian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blackpool and the Drumreilly players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cacey McLian hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Healey McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The referee ignored Blackpool's protests and gave Donagh Hughes a yellow card for diving instead. A sloppy throw-in by Arthur Horgan in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Blackpool's Brosnan Byrne. Healey McLian scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sameer Branson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tevis McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teagan Hamilton in the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Seán Grant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevis McCready saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tevis McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seán Grant, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
