Booak Caffrey came out of the goal and Healey McLian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute Donavin McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevis McCready saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blackpool's Tevis McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Morrison in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Morrison in the 21st minute of play forced Blackpool's goalkeeper Tevis McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes, Donavin McSteve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moyvoughly and the Blackpool players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donavin McSteve got free with Tevis McCready in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Brandon Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevis McCready saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blackpool's Healey McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, Blackpool's Brosnan Byrne got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Brendan Quinnless charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Moyvoughly's Booak Caffrey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Moyvoughly from getting a goal against them. Blackpool's Tevis McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donavin McSteve in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Blackpool's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Morrison came free, but Tevis McCready reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
