Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baird Taylor got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Baird Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunbrin's supporters rose to their feet, but Baird Taylor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hayes McLiam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torna Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayes McLiam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baird Taylor's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Baird Taylor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Donaghmore's Hayes McLiam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Breslin McPhilip hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Coinneach Lavine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Baird Taylor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Donaghmore's Hayes McLiam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Donaghmore getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Keefe Hunt hit a great ball. Torna Keegan took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hayes McLiam. Hayes McLiam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Donaghmore's Hayes McLiam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Coinneach Lavine in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breslin McPhilip got free with Nollaig Taylor in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 played minutes Dunbrin got a freekick which was hit by Coinneach Lavine. In the 34th minute Piers Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayes McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baird Taylor struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Hayes McLiam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunbrin. Baird Taylor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hayes McLiam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Torna Keegan sped through Donaghmore's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hayes McLiam. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baolach Frankson made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Baird Taylor put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hayes McLiam. Gilbert McBjarton took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nollaig Taylor. Nollaig Taylor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Breslin McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Scott Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Donaghmore getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Breslin McPhilip hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Donaghmore's Keefe Hunt got a free kick in the 71st minute. Baird Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayes McLiam having to interfere. Nollaig Taylor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baolach Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Breslin McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nollaig Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Baird Taylor got free in front of the goal in the 84th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Hayes McLiam was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Keefe Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Dunbrin's goal looked a bit too open when Baolach Frankson came free, but Nollaig Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Dunbrin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Donaghmore throughout the match.
