Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeremiah McStephen kicked off to start the match. In the 16th minute Jeremiah McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bannon Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cloon's Bannon Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breck Hutton in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Breck Hutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bannon Ryan was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Jeremiah McStephen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ballyconnel from getting a goal against them. Bannon Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breck Hutton in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Ballyconnel's Breck Hutton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bannon Ryan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Ballyconnel getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bohannon Harkin hit a great ball. Gealan Cassin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glen McWilliam's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Tobin Tierney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Gealan Cassin made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Breck Hutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bannon Ryan was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Jeremiah McStephen made a precise shot to the right of Bannon Ryan. Cloon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Gealan Cassin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, Cloon's Earnán McBjarton made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gealan Cassin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 90 minutes, Glen McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glen McWilliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Cloon's goalkeeper Bannon Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breck Hutton. 99 minutes into the match, Cloon's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Bannon Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cloon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ballyconnel's performance. The match ended with a win for Ballyconnel.
