In the 6th minute of the match, Caoilte Deery got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baydan McBrandon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Baydan McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolinglanna's goalkeeper Eoghan Kirby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Bel Cassin made a precise shot to the right of Eoghan Kirby. Bolinglanna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Deery got free with Baydan McBrandon in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baydan McBrandon made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Caoilte Deery sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Bolinglanna booed when Scronagare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrach Tierney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Scronagare got a freekick which was hit by Rowland McIan. Bolinglanna's Harold McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rowland McIan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scronagare's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowland McIan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eoghan Kirby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Scronagare's goal looked a bit too open when Harold McCollion came free, but Baydan McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bolinglanna booed when Scronagare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrach Tierney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bolinglanna's zone, Bel Cassin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eoghan Kirby came out of the goal and Bel Cassin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caoilte Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Peter Brennan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baydan McBrandon. Scronagare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Brennan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Harold McCollion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baydan McBrandon having to interfere. Eoghan Kirby made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bel Cassin sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
