Ballyconnel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremiah McStephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gealan Cassin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gealan Cassin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartley McJames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Ballyconnel's goal looked a bit too open when Begley McBjarton came free, but Gealan Cassin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fionntán Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 76th minute of the match. Abbeyville's Fionntán Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremiah McStephen in the 78th minute of play. Fionntán Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 79th minute of the match. Breck Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fionntán Dunne having to interfere. Ballyconnel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
