Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bellaghy McLian got the match started through his kick off. If Braden McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Looscaun Utd's zone, Hayes Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadhg Dimson came out of the goal and Hayes Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute Braden McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadhg Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Braden McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laheen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braden McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Looscaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Braden McNamara came free, but Tadhg Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braden McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tadhg Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finbar McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Looscaun Utd's Tadhg Dimson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braden McNamara in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Hayes Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadhg Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, one of Looscaun Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tadhg Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braden McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laheen AFC's Hayes Gough in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Looscaun Utd's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Looscaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Braden McNamara came free, but Tadhg Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Braden McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadhg Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braden McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tadhg Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Braden McNamara to make the kick off. If Braden McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute, Braden McNamara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laheen AFC's Ailín McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Costello in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Looscaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Braden McNamara came free, but Tadhg Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67th play minutes Hayes Gough shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Tadhg Dimson and just under the crossbar into goal. Finbar McFrancise might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadhg Dimson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Finbar McFrancise ran back to his position shaking his head. Hayes Gough struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Tadhg Dimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laheen AFC. Hayes Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayes Goughs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Tadhg Dimson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Looscaun Utd's zone, Braden McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadhg Dimson came out of the goal and Braden McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Laheen AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Looscaun Utd throughout the match.
