In the 17th minute, Breck Hutton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballyconnel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tadhg Dimson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Breck Hutton sent off a good shot on target. Jeremiah McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Tadhg Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breck Hutton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadhg Dimson having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Bellaghy McLian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gealan Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes, Breck Hutton made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Looscaun Utd's Tadhg Dimson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute of the match, Jeremiah McStephen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tadhg Dimson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tadhg Dimson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Breck Hutton showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Philib Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Looscaun Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyconnel the free kick. In the 48th minute, Breck Hutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremiah McStephen to make the kick off. Tadhg Dimson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breck Hutton in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Breck Hutton made a precise shot to the right of Tadhg Dimson. Looscaun Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, Looscaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Breck Hutton came free, but Tadhg Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Looscaun Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but David McPhil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Breck Hutton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadhg Dimson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Tadhg Dimson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breck Hutton in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Breck Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyconnel's supporters rose to their feet, but Breck Hutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadhg Dimson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Ballyconnel were the better team. Ballyconnel's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
