Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dunbrin's Baird Taylor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Dunbrin's goal looked a bit too open when Breck Hutton came free, but Nollaig Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gealan Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Taylor in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ballyconnel's goalkeeper Gealan Cassin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torna Keegan. Rownun Dillon charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rownun Dillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nollaig Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Nollaig Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Dunbrin booed when Ballyconnel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shannon Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Breck Hutton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballyconnel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gealan Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baird Taylor in the 57th minute of the match. Breck Hutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Nollaig Taylor made a huge save. With his leg Nollaig Taylor managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Ballyconnel's Breck Hutton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Ballyconnel's Rownun Dillon got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Ballyconnel booed when Dunbrin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abban Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Dunbrin's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Nollaig Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scott Quinnless kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Jeremiah McStephen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nollaig Taylor, passed just outside the right post. Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Quinnless in the 89th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dunbrin players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
