In the 4th minute, Raonall McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Ballinteskin's Breccan Sheridan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Callaghan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Geoffrey Doyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Farrell Hunt made a huge save. When Breslin McBjarton fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballinteskin's protests and gave Breslin McBjarton a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Ballinteskin got a freekick which was hit by Breslin McBjarton. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Logan Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinteskin's supporters rose to their feet, but Logan Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevinn McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dennis Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Logan Kirby in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Ballinteskin getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Bairre John hit a great ball.

Farrell Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Jameson in the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gortnakilly's zone, Logan Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Callaghan came out of the goal and Logan Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ballinteskin's Breccan Sheridan suffered a concussion after 71 minutes and had to leave the field. During the 71st minute of the match Kain Crowe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kain Crowe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Gortnakilly's Kain Crowe got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Payton Dempsey during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Ballinteskin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Payton Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Farrell Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoffrey Doyle in the 82nd minute of the match. If Breslin McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bairre John was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Ballinteskin's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Logan Kirby in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dennis Callaghan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Ballinteskin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gortnakilly.
