In the 36th minute of the match Banon Gollogley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breas McSteve showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Bren Johnson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breas McSteve was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Clonbulloge's goalkeeper Brenainn McStephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patton Prunty. Brenainn McStephen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 69 played minutes Clonbulloge got a freekick which was hit by Dugan Savic. Gerald McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gerald McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clonbulloge's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breas McSteve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the game, Healey Todd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballyquin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clonbulloge the free kick. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballyquin! Patton Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Brenainn McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brenainn McStephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patton Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clonbulloge's Brenainn McStephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blar McWilliam in the 95th minute of play.
