Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Donavon McJames made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 6th match minute, Meenymore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beartlai McBrandon to maneuver through the defense. When Clooncogaile's Donavon McJames in 8 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Liam Robinson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 9th minute, Breaghdha McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute of the match Breenan Hutton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gearard McJohnny showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beccan McBjarton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gearard McJohnny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Arthur McAlphie in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boynton Deans during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Beccan McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenymore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beccan McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gearard McJohnny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arthur McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Liam Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liam Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liam Robinson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arthur McAlphie's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Liam Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donavon McJames, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Liam Robinson came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Clooncogaile's Arthur McAlphie. But to his dismay, Arthur McAlphie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Liam Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Arthur McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donavon McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Robinson having to interfere. Seosamh Deans hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Donavon McJames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donavon McJames's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liam Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Meenymore FC booed when Clooncogaile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meenymore FC's Breenan Hutton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clooncogaile. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Healey Tierney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gearard McJohnny came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Meenymore FC's Healey Tierney. But to his dismay, Healey Tierney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Liam Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ros McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Arthur McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Healey Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Meenymore FC's Beccan McBjarton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gearard McJohnny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gearard McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Healey Tierney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Meenymore FC got a freekick which was hit by Tierney Tracy. Arthur McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Robinson having to interfere. Boynton Deans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Robinson having to interfere. Arthur McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Liam Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beccan McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearard McJohnny having to interfere. Clooncogaile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
