Patton Prunty's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Farrell Hunt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 37 minutes into the match, Ballyquin's Patton Prunty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farrell Hunt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Breccan Sheridan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Breas McSteve was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blar McWilliam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 89th minute, Ciarán Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bhrighde Sheridan hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Logan Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinteskin's supporters rose to their feet, but Logan Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breas McSteve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ballinteskin played a much better game than Ballyquin and deserved their victory. The Ballyquin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
