In the 17th match minute, Finnahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayes McAaron to maneuver through the defense. Burke Caffey struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Liam Robinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finnahy. In the 22nd minute Lorcan McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Finnahy booed when Meenymore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toran McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philip McPaul during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Finnahy's Philip McPaul got a free kick in the 34th minute. Finnahy's Daron McMichel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Finnahy from getting a goal against them. Finnahy's Lorcan McSteven got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Lorcan McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Burke Caffey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Beccan McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Meenymore FC booed when Finnahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geralt Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Burke Caffey took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Liam Robinson. Liam Robinson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Burke Caffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meenymore FC's Beccan McBjarton got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Burke Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Meenymore FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hayes McAaron fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Burke Caffey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lorcan McSteven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liam Robinson having to make a save. Meenymore FC's Liam Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burke Caffey in the 96th minute of play. The Meenymore FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
