Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Blar McWilliam made the kick off which started today's match. Ballyquin's Blar McWilliam got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lewis McPaul fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortnakilly's protests and gave Lewis McPaul a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Gortnakilly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis McPaul to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballyquin reached it. Patton Prunty in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dennis Callaghan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Blar McWilliam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Callaghan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patton Prunty in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Ballyquin's Rowland Holt got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Bola Jameson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Callaghan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blar McWilliam's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bairee Kirby during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bola Jameson to make the kick off. Breas McSteve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Jameson in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Ballyquin's goal looked a bit too open when Bola Jameson came free, but Breas McSteve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Banbhan McBjarton made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Callaghan. Gortnakilly's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Patton Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blar McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Callaghan having to interfere.
