Bodibeve Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beag Ghee in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Carrowcastle getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Belock Lester hit a great ball. With his leg Cahir McFrank managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Carrowcastle's Burke McBjarton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Barran Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodibeve Cronin having to interfere. Bodibeve Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barran Gillmour in the 25th minute of the match. Carrowcastle were furious when Cashel Prunty was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute, one of Carrowcastle:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carrowcastle. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Querrin Utd. Edwin Scully stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bodibeve Cronin. 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Carrowcastle's goal looked a bit too open when Brite McBrand came free, but Bodibeve Cronin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Barran Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Brite McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querrin Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Brite McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bodibeve Cronin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blathma Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Carrowcastle getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Belock Lester hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donahue Colwell was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Querrin Utd got a freekick which was hit by Beag Ghee. 54 minutes into the game, Carrowcastle's Bodibeua McWilliam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cahir McFrank made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Querrin Utd getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bowen McTommy hit a great ball. Blathma Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Querrin Utd's zone, Donahue Colwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahir McFrank came out of the goal and Donahue Colwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Querrin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Donahue Colwell came free, but Cahir McFrank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Querrin Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennedy Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Donahue Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brite McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querrin Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Brite McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bodibeve Cronin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carrowcastle's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
