In the 46th minute Logan Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Britt McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Farrell Hunt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aengus Todd showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beltany McLaughlin during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Kilnagross Utd's Aengus Todd got a free kick in the 79th minute. Beltany McLaughlin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Breccan Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Britt McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Britt McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breccan Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Britt McWillie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breccan Sheridan in the 98th minute of play. Blar Sheridan charged in rather forcefully in the 99th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blar Sheridan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kilnagross Utd getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Blar Sheridan hit a great ball. Kilnagross Utd were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ballinteskin for a fine match.
