Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Subulter Utd's Baiste McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burke McBjarton in the 10th minute of play. Burke McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiste McPeter having to interfere. Bodibeve Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Dillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 25 minutes of play, Subulter Utd's Brendan Dillon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bodibeve Cronin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute of the match, Burke McBjarton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baiste McPeter saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Blathma Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiste McPeter having to interfere. In the 37th minute of the game Brenda Kelly made a throw-in which Reilley Gollogley played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burke McBjarton in the 39th minute of play forced Subulter Utd's goalkeeper Baiste McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branagain McLiam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bodibeve Cronin. Carrowcastle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Carrowcastle booed when Subulter Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Burke McBjarton came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Carrowcastle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Burke McBjarton couldn't finish the play. After the first half Subulter Utd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Burke McBjarton to make the kick off. Blathma Molloy struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Baiste McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrowcastle. Baiste McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burke McBjarton in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Subulter Utd's Phelim McPaul got a free kick in the 58th minute. Brenda Kelly made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Blathma Molloy immediately put the ball in play. Phelim McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bodibeve Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Donahue Colwell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrowcastle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Baiste McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathma Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bran Tracy fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 80th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Breffni Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Bodibeua McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrowcastle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bodibeua McWilliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Blathma Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Burke McBjarton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baiste McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Donahue Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrowcastle's supporters rose to their feet, but Donahue Colwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baiste McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, Carrowcastle failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
