After a rather tough play, Kilnagross Utd's Pierson Dillon got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Aengus Todd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilnagross Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Aengus Todd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Kilnagross Utd getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Pierson Dillon hit a great ball. Gortnakilly's Dennis Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Gortnakilly from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Kilnagross Utd booed when Gortnakilly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevinn McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
