Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Glen Costello kicked off to start the match. Ballinteskin's Farrell Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Costello in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Ballinteskin booed when Clonbulloge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ballinteskin's Finbar McJohn got a free kick in the 11th minute. Breccan Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenainn McStephen having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Finian John mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clonbulloge and the Ballinteskin players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Clonbulloge getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Finian John hit a great ball. Glen Costello took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Farrell Hunt. Farrell Hunt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Clonbulloge's zone, Logan Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenainn McStephen came out of the goal and Logan Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 38th minute of the match Finian John completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Finian John a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Finian John hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Logan Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenainn McStephen having to interfere. Logan Kirbys short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Brenainn McStephen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

When Glen Costello fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clonbulloge's protests and gave Glen Costello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Glen Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Logan Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Farrell Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bren Johnson in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Breslin McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ravan McOliver in the 75th minute really tested Farrell Hunt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Farrell Hunt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dugan Savic in the 79th minute. When Breslin McBjarton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. A collision led to Ballinteskin getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Breslin McBjarton hit a great ball. Artt Frankson kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Logan Kirby came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ballinteskin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Logan Kirby couldn't finish the play. Payton Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Brenainn McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Logan Kirby struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Brenainn McStephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballinteskin. The Clonbulloge players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
