After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Bricin Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maghery's supporters rose to their feet, but Bricin Hutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gealan Willson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Russ Beckett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bercan Lavine in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maghery's zone, Bradon McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Beckett came out of the goal and Bradon McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gearóid Colwell hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Bercan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Beckett having to interfere. Beacan Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Gearoid Caffey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bercan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Russ Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gearóid Colwell hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Bercan Lavine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patraic McAlphie hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Skeahanagh booed when Maghery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartley McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Maghery's goal looked a bit too open when Bercan Lavine came free, but Russ Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russ Beckett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bercan Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Bercan Lavine took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Russ Beckett to make any attempt to save it. Bercan Lavine was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Skeahanagh's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gearoid Caffey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gearoid Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gealan Willson made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Bricin Hutton sent off a good shot on target. After 65 played minutes Maghery got a freekick which was hit by Bartley McPeter. Bartel McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Maghery getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bartley McPeter hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Bercan Lavine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Russ Beckett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bercan Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maghery's Bartley McPeter got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Bartley McPeter off the ground. Bourns McPeter was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bradon McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bercan Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bricin Hutton got free with Gealan Willson in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gearoid Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skeahanagh's goalkeeper Gealan Willson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
