Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kennedy McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geary Todd, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Killian Dillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Killian Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Silke having to interfere. In the 17th minute Donoghue McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Silke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Ballinaboy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathmac McJohn to maneuver through the defense. When Donoghue McTommy came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Crosskeel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donoghue McTommy couldn't finish the play. Donoghue McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Ballinaboy's goal looked a bit too open when Donoghue McTommy came free, but Damian Silke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Crosskeel booed when Ballinaboy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brennan Lester didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Crosskeel's Beltany McPhilip got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 35th minute, Donoghue McTommy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Damian Silke. The goal made the score 1-0. After 44 played minutes Ballinaboy got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah Brennan . Killian Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Silke having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donoghue McTommy was the one to do the kick off. Killian Dillon charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Killian Dillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Crosskeel got a freekick which was hit by Killian Dillon. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Killian Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crosskeel's supporters rose to their feet, but Killian Dillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Silke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kennedy McTom made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Geary Todd sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, one of Ballinaboy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballinaboy. The referee gave Crosskeel a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Herygh McPhilip, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballinaboy's Damian Silke. 3-0. Kennedy McTom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keelin John in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Donoghue McTommy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Damian Silke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damian Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Killian Dillon in the 78th minute of play. Ballinaboy's Damian Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Killian Dillon in the 79th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Geary Todd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kennedy McTom. Geary Todd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Donoghue McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geary Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Crosskeel's Killian Dillon got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Crosskeel were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ballinaboy for a fine match.
